Because I totally suck at being on-time, I just sent the DVD westward (as far west as it goes in North America, I think) today. That's what I get for never being able to get to a post office. In any case, here are some pictures of the DVD in Calgary!
Tackling some rush hour traffic, heading into downtown Calgary. The tallest building you see is the Calgary Tower, and the bulb-y thing at the top is the rotating restaurant and obeservation tower.
We were in traffic together for a very long time. And when traffic is stopped more than it's going, it's pretty easy to take pictures while driving. It's a pretty picture, though! I like it!
The site of my first coffee with
murphy987! This is the coffee shop whose name I couldn't remember for the life of me. It took about 10 tries, listing places in both Calgary and New York, half of which were already closed, before I remembered this. But finally, I remembered, and we were able to meet up here and hang out.
It just wouldn't be complete without a trip to the blue-and-yellow...
...which, of course, is IKEA. Essential to the GGMM, and now the DVD has gone shopping with me.
And that's it for Calgary!
I had an idea, though. I think that once it's gone through everyone, we should try to mail the notebook around once more (either that or scan the pages and post them all online), because being towards the beginning makes me sad that I won't get to read everyone's notes!
Yep, there should definitely be posting of the journal online!
